STIG System for Translation Information in General

This system was initially built to store information about translation activities and results between two languages, and was therefore STIG in honour of Stig Johansson, a pioneer in Norway and in the world, of (corpus-based) study of translations and parallel corpora. It was proposed by Diana Santos in 2014, is financed by ILOS and developed by DMLF. The first instantiation of STIG was developed for translation between Portuguese and Norwegian, but from the start it was developed to be used by anyone dealing with translation studies. Given its generality as a topic map system, from 2017 on it started to be used by other projects not necessarily dealing with translation.
